Catholic Schools NSW (CSNSW) supports the Bishops of NSW in bringing to life the Church’s evangelising mission.
The Confraternity of Christian Doctrine is an Ecclesiastical Organization of the Archdiocese of Sydney. It was established in 1958 on the authority of the Archbishop of Sydney as an autonomous, non-profit organization for the primary and principal purpose of providing religious education and Christian formation for Catholic children in public schools.

The Catholic school system in the Archdiocese of Sydney educates more than 70,000 students in 150 schools. The leadership of this system of schools is entrusted to the Sydney Archdiocesan Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) Board, which is responsible for policy and direction, and the Sydney Catholic Schools which is responsible for policy implementation, services and personnel.
