Aim & Purpose of the Aboriginal Catholic Ministry in Sydney The aim and purpose of the Aboriginal Catholic Ministry (ACM) is to promote reconciliation and mutual understanding, taking responsibility for the pastoral care of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and supporting them in the living of their Faith.
This organisation is a service of the Archdiocese of Sydney.
An international Catholic foundation providing relief to the suffering Church. Founded in 1947 and recognised as a pontifical foundation in 2011, Aid to the Church in Need supports Christians who are persecuted, oppressed or in pastoral need.
Archbishop Anthony Fisher appointed the Anti-Slavery Taskforce to enact his vision for the Archdiocese of Sydney to lead the Australian Catholic Church response to end modern slavery.
A parish based youth movement for ages 16-21. A weekend experience with weekly follow-up meetings, and an emphasis on peer ministry. Aims to provide a sense of belonging to the faith community, and an opportunity to reflect on life experiences in the light of scripture and the church’s sacramental traditions.
