Description: The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament draws us into the life of Jesus, enabling us to know God’s will for us. It should lead us to be filled with compassion for those who suffer and to act in order to share in the compassion of Jesus for His people. Furthermore, Adoration enables us to know that the greatest suffering is not knowing the love of God, and this impels us to evangelise. In this course we will (re)discover that the Eucharist is the most powerful gift God gives us for the transformation of the world.

Presenter: Kevin is the Associate Dean, Learning and Teaching in the Faculty of Education, Philosophy and Theology at the University of Notre Dame, Australia. He is the principal convener of the Theology at the Beginning of the Third Millennium conference series and co-editor of the eponymous book series. He is the President of the recently formed Catholic Scholars Guild, the patron of which is His Grace, Archbishop Anthony Fisher. His teaching and research are predominantly in the areas of Patristic Theology, Early Church History, and Scripture. A high school teacher by trade, Kevin has also been the Director of the Emmanuel School of Mission in Rome, a role he shared with his wife, Helen. Kevin is a member of the Emmanuel Community (la Communauté de l’Emmanuel).
