Our Father Prayer | EXPLAINED

12 Mar 2019

If you’ve grown up in a Christian family, it’s easy not to think deeply about the prayers that you’ve learned off by heart and repeated thousands of times. But it’s really good to go back to the basics – to think about and reflect on what we’re praying.

This is the ‘Our Father’ prayer broken down.

PRAYER
Our Father, Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

ACT Ask forgiveness from someone who you may have hurt OR forgive someone who has hurt you
