The Liturgy Office is available for advice and formation in all areas of the liturgical life of the Archdiocese of Sydney. Workshops can be provided on request, particularly in the areas of liturgical ministries, the sacraments or in any other area of liturgical education. The office also assists in the planning of major diocesan and ecumenical liturgical events.

The Liturgy Office assists the Liturgical Commission to fulfil its work of fostering the liturgical life of the People of God in the Archdiocese of Sydney, so that they can enter more deeply into the mystery of Christ. Members are appointed to the Commission by the Archbishop in accord with the directives of Vatican II. The Commission assists the Archbishop in his role as promoter, moderator and guardian of the worship life of the Archdiocese, advising him on all manner of liturgical matters.

A team of liturgists are available through the Liturgy Office to assist parishes to establish ‘liturgy teams’ and to cater to various other liturgical needs.

This organisation is a service of the Archdiocese of Sydney.
