The largest group of young Catholics representing Australia are packing their bags to join two million expected at World Youth Day in Madrid next month.

Nearly four thousand are heading to WYD2011.  Many of these young ambassadors are from Sydney and with their family and friends, will gather tonight, 15 July at 7pm, for a special Commissioning Mass at St Mary's Cathedral before enjoying a Spanish Fiesta.

The Mass will be celebrated by The Archbishop of Sydney, Cardinal George Pell.

For most of these young people their adventure begins as early as next week with many joining pilgrimages to Egypt, the Holy Land, France, Italy or Spain.

At the close of the Mass tonight, group leaders will be presented with Australian flags to take to Madrid.

Then the Fiesta, with food and music, will take place in the Cathedral Hall.  Join us!
