This is how Pope Francis received young Italians from Catholic Action. They sang "Happy Birthday" to him in Spanish.

They brought the Pope a gift and a cake for his 79th birthday. And the Pope blew out the candles.

"We feel so emotional to celebrate your birthday with you. We wish for you to stay well and for you to guide us for many years with that love, that simplicity, and that humility that has reached the hearts of all of us."

After that loving greeting, the Pope thanked them for visiting the Vatican again. He also said he appreciated the cake.

"Thank you for the cake."

He called on them to be close with God and to always follow his way of goodness and solidarity.

"It means to take the good road , not the evil one; it means to put oneself on the road of forgiveness, not of revenge; of peace, not of war; of solidarity, not seflishness."

To conclude, the Pope wished them a Merry Christmas and asked them to pray for him.
