Mary MacKillop Canonisation Latest

His Holiness, Pope Benedict xv1 will meet a consistory with Cardinals and Bishops on 19 February (Rome time) after which it is hoped he will announce the date for the canonisation of Mary MacKillop.

Sister Maria Casey, Postulator for the Cause of Mary MacKillop will join other Postulators for their candidates for canonisation at the Vatican at 11am where she will pray with the Holy Father before the announcement.

The Sisters of St Joseph hope to hear news of the date in the early hours of 20 February.

Mary MacKillop will be Australia’s first Saint.
