Parish Missions

From Wednesday 27 July - Sunday 31 July, St Michael's, in partnership with CREDO (the Archdiocesan office for evangelisation and renewal) will host a parish mission with the theme "Life to the Full". The "Life to the Full" parish mission is a mission with a difference as it embraces the New Evangelisation.

The New Evangelisation seeks to employ new methods, means of expression and new fervour to bring the gospel message to those who have forgotten the faith they were baptised into or those have never heard about it. To do this the approach has to be a little different. So like traditional missions it will feature great preaching and teaching in the church, Mass and the opportunity for Confession, but it will also offer events and activities designed to reach out beyond the church walls, like a talk in the local pub, festival activities for the children, a coffee stall, contemporary musicians, drama, house visits, a prayer line and shopping centre outreach. It will be a dynamic and exciting time in Daceyville. So even if you do not live within the boundaries of St Michael's, you are welcome to join us to experience this new style of mission and take the time out to remember what is truly important.
